Super Flossy!

It’s about to get FLOSSY!

Marx and Bensdorf is putting on a Paris-Roubaix-style race at about 9am Rocktober 9th, North of Shelby Forest.  M&B is coordinating with the Curt Arthur fund committee (DCJ and others) to donate the proceeds to the fund.  If those proceeds turn out to not be required, they will go to St. Jude.

October 9th, 2010 will be the first Mad Crunk, Super Flossy, Straight Flexin, Ain’t Frontin, Invitational Classic 5000! Bring your Paris-Roubaix attitude and your Cancellara bike motor to attack this course. Pimp cups to the top 3. Check’em!

It is highly recommended that you ride each of the gravel sections of this course. The race will finish on a long, flat, 7.5 mile gravel section. Most of the paved roads are in very good condition, however it is highly recommended that you ride a hard case tire. The gravel sections have a knack for causing flats. We will do our best to provide rider support, but you as racers need to bring spare tubes, a way to inflate those tubes, and the ability to change those tubes.

There is a chance that you will enter the gravel sections at speeds above 20 mph. The racers will be responsible for entering these sections at a manageable speed. The gravel sections are all pretty flat, however there are a couple of sandy sections which can be difficult to navigate through. Be prepared.

Although we will have volunteers at all turns, it is up to the riders to know the race course. We will also have follow vehicles, however they will stay behind the “peloton.” If you get dropped, or if you are off the front, you need to be prepared to fix your own mechanical.
